Spring Proposals To Put a Spring In Her Step

If you’ve spent months looking for and choosing the perfect engagement ring but are now stumped for the best way to propose, look no further. Below are some of our favourite romantic spring proposal ideas that are sure to please.

Spring is an ideal time to propose; the weather is heating up, but it isn’t unbearably hot just yet, the days are finally longer but the streets and parks aren’t as busy as in summer.

BOTANICAL GARDENS

At a botanical garden, proposal opportunities are everywhere! You’re surrounded by gorgeous flowers. The location gives a perfect chance to match a unique coloured gemstone ring with the colourful masses of flowers in full bloom, or let a shining diamond stand out amongst the beautiful spring blossoms. It’s the picture-perfect place to capture the magical moment on camera, an idyllic surprise engagement shoot.

BEACH DAY

A day trip to the beach makes for a wonderful proposal story, and spring is the perfect time to do it. The beach is everyone’s favourite location on hot summers day, but in April or May with the sun shining and a light breeze it often isn’t as busy. There are no families packed along the sand leaving the perfect opportunity for a private springtime walk alongside the crashing waves, maybe watching the sun set along the horizon. What could be more romantic? After the proposal there is a multitude of scenic bars and restaurants perfect to celebrate in with your new fiancé and even your friends and family.

What more, your hand-picked diamond ring will glimmer and shine alongside the sparkling sea. You could even make a holiday of it and get away for a weekend or more together with your fiancée-to-be.

BIKE RIDE

If you and your partner are an active couple or just enjoy a nice bike ride together this is the perfect time to incorporate an activity into your proposal. It’s not so hot out that you’ll both be sweaty when it comes to the big moment, and there should be a lovely spring sunshine and breeze along your ride. Being involved in an activity should help you hide your nerves of excitement, and both build up endorphins.

There are plenty of stunning bike routes for all abilities within London. Some through beautiful parks or along the glistening river Thames. Alternatively, you could go out of London for a romantic weekend and rent some bikes! You could even rent a tandem bike for an extra romantic yet cheesy element.

A PICNIC PROPOSAL

Parks everywhere are in full bloom with beautiful seasonal flowers, and the sun is beginning to peak out more each day, so pack up a picnic of her favourite foods (hide a bottle of champagne to celebrate with after) and head out to soak up the spring sunshine. You could even place the engagement ring inside the basket for her to find as a romantic surprise, while waiting behind her on one knee.

A picnic is the ideal way to propose privately while still outdoors in lovely weather. There are so many stunning parks all over London to choose from such as Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, Primrose Hill, or simply your favourite local park wherever you are.

TOUR A VINEYARD

Finally, my favourite option, a vineyard proposal!

Vineyards are a stunning location to ask for anyone’s hand in marriage but are especially great if your fiancé-to-be is a wine lover. Beautiful views of the endless rows of vineyards provide an amazing backdrop and environment for the proposal. And there will be lovely wine waiting for you to celebrate with! Not your everyday proposal, this would be a one-of-a-kind memorable proposal for you both and you could even book a professional photographer or private tour through the vineyard itself.
